What are pioneers?
Pioneers have a very important role in ekoloko. Their mission is to discover and populate new regions, and to ensure the future existence of ekoloko and its community.

To support them in this adventurous role the pioneers get:

  • The right to discover and tour new regions
  • The right to participate in exciting new adventures
  • The right to teleport themselves from place to place through the map
  • The right to apply and become Eko-rangers
  • The right to vote on where the ekoloko fund donates it money to
  • The right to use certain clothes and accessories designed specifically for them
  • The right to participate in activities and games for pioneers only
  • The right to give or take away leadership points once every 24 hours
  • The right to earn and play new 1on1 games
  • The right to enter the leaders lists

Where do the membership fees go to?
We use the membership fees to support the site, add new content to ekoloko and contribute to the ekoloko fund which donates its funds to social and environmental causes based on decisions made by the pioneers.

Is my payment information kept secure?
Payment is performed through an outsource company called Plimus, who specialise in supporting secure transactions over the internet.
Plimus meets strict international safety and security standards.
It is important to note that none of the data relating to transactions reaches or is stored on ekoloko servers.

What is the refund policy in ekoloko?
Pioneer membership fees are non refundable.

How soon does membership take effect?
Once we are notified by Plimus that the payment process has been completed, we will notify you by email that your account is open and ready for use.
Your rights as a pioneer take effect immediately.

How will I know that the payment process has been successfully completed?
Once the payment process is complete, you will receive a receipt and get an email from ekoloko confirming that your account has been updated.
Make sure that you save these emails for future account information.

I have completed the payment process but my pioneer membership has not been activated, What should I do?
If you have completed the payment process, but are not yet enjoying the pioneer account privileges, you should log out of your ekoloko account and then log back in. If your problem persists, please click here to contact our support team.

Why does my credit card statement show an extra fee for my pioneer membership?
Any charges above and beyond your stated membership fees are charged by your credit card company.
Please contact your credit card company directly regarding these charges.

Can I transfer my rights as a pioneer to a different user?
No. Your rights as a pioneer cannot be transferred to another user.

Can I change my membership package to a different one?
In order to transfer to a different membership package, please cancel your existing package and purchase a new one.
Please note that we recommend doing this towards the end of your existing package as the time you have remaining will not be added to your new package.

What happens if my card is cancelled?
If you hold a recurring package and your credit card has been cancelled or we have not been able to charge the membership fee to it, your rights as a pioneer will be cancelled and will be renewed once your payment method has been changed.

How can I cancel my membership status?
If you purchased a monthly recurring package, you may cancel your membership at any time. click here to contact our support team.
Once we are in receipt of your email we will not renew your subscription the following month.

How soon will the cancellation take effect?
Once you have sent us an email with your user name asking us to cancel a recurring package, you will not be charged again for this package.
Your rights as a pioneer will continue till the end of your last payment period.

What happens to my pioneer's rights, accessories and items after my membership is over?
If you have cancelled a recurring package or your membership period has ended without being renewed, your rights as a pioneer will be frozen.
Your accessories and clothes will remain in your inventory, but you will only be able to wear them once you have renewed your membership. Your Pio Points will be the only thing which will not be frozen. they will disappear unless you renew your membership within the grace period.

Where did all my Pio Points go?
Pio Points are being accumulated automatically as long as your Pioneer membership is active. When your membership expires, you will have a few grace days to renew it. If you decide not to renew your membership during the grace period, your Pio Points will disappear.

What is an ongoing subscription?
Online purchases offer 6 months, annual or an ongoing subscription. An ongoing subscription is valid for one year only but charged every 2 months. You may end the subscription before the charge dates by sending us a request.

What does the Eko-fun package include?
The Eko-fun package includes three attractive A3 size posters of ekoloko, tattoos from the world and a sticker.
Your Eko-fun package will be sent by mail and will reach you within 21 working days of your order.

What happens to pioneers who have been banned from the world?
Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all children on ekoloko.
Pioneers who fail to comply with the rules of conduct (mutual respect, no use of offensive language and keeping personal details absolutely confidential) will be banned immediately.
Pioneers that are banned will not be entitled to a refund.
